Mobile case manager service approach

Video transcript

DESCRIPTION:

A red stylised map of South Australia has a white logo across it that reads ‘Return to Work SA’. The SA lettering is coloured red and has a logo above it that features a red line above a lime green line that curve into each other to form a stadium shape.

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

ReturnToWorkSA provides South Australian employers with insurance to protect their business and their workers in the event of a work-related injury.

DESCRIPTION:

In an animation, a brown haired man wears chef’s whites and walks into a kitchen carrying a box of produce. He tries to lift the box up onto a shelf and immediately drops the box and grabs his back. A red circle radiates out from the area as he rubs it with his hand.

Later, the same chef stands with a smile near a bench facing two double swinging doors. A yellow coin appears in the air next to him that has an orange dollar symbol on it. A second lime green cross symbol appears below the coin.

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

We support people who have been injured by providing financial support, which covers wages, access to reasonable medical treatment, and a range of return to work services to help them recover and return to work as soon as they can.

DESCRIPTION:

Four small animated figures appear near the double doors. A label below each reads, respectively, ‘Physio’; ‘Trainer’; ‘Case Manager’ and ‘GP’.

Later, the chef sits down at a table with another brown-haired man who wears a grey suit and glasses. The chef rubs at his back where the red circles radiate from as he talks to him.

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

If you have been injured at work, it's important you notify your employer and seek any immediate medical treatment straight away.

DESCRIPTION:

Later, the man in the grey suit sits at a desk and talks on a telephone. A small sign on his desk reads ‘Manager’. A diagonal split-screen adds a second caller, a brunette woman who sits at a desk and talks on a phone. She has a badge that reads ‘Case Manager’ on the front of her purple blouse.

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

You or your employer should notify your claims agent of the injury as soon as possible so we can discuss what should happen next.

DESCRIPTION:

A speech bubble appears above the man in the grey suit that reads ‘Josh has been injured – he may be off for more than two weeks.’

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

If your injury is likely to keep you away from work longer than two weeks, your claims agent will send a mobile case manager to visit you and your employer.

DESCRIPTION:

Looking out the window of the grey-suited man’s office, a red car drives and stops. White lettering on the car reads ‘Case Manager’.

Later, the case manager sits with Josh and the suited man around a small round table. Each of them has a mug in front of them. A speech bubble above the case manager reads “What happened?” Josh recalls the events via a replay of the accident inside his own speech bubble.

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

The first meeting will allow you and your employer to explain what happened and discuss what support you may need.

DESCRIPTION:

The case worker then asks “How can I help you?”. A second speech bubble plays an animation of Josh meeting with the GP from earlier. He has dark hair and wears a stethoscope draped around his neck.

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

Meeting face-to-face means both you and your employer can understand what will happen next, what support is available to you, and help to engage and pay for any agreed support services.

DESCRIPTION:

In another speech bubble animation above the case worker, Josh stands with the Physio from earlier alongside some exercise equipment.

Back in the small meeting, Josh says “It’s great to have a plan to help me recover and return to work” inside a speech bubble.

Later, the case manager walks over to Josh who sits at a desk and talks on a phone. A sign on the wall reads ‘Administration’. The case worker says “How are things going?” to Josh. Josh replies “It’s great to be back at work.”

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

The mobile case manager will continue to meet with you face-to-face throughout your recovery and return to work to see how things are going, check on your progress and to tailor any further support services you may need.

DESCRIPTION:

In a second visit from the case worker to the Administration room, she asks Josh “How is your recovery going?” Josh replies, “Great. I’m ready to get back to cooking again soon.” The case worker then adds, “I’ll organise an occupational therapist to visit you in the kitchen.”

Later, Josh stands in the kitchen and wears his chef’s whites. He holds a knife and chops carrots on a chopping board.

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

Staying at work or returning to work following an injury can be the best thing for your health, well-being and recovery.

DESCRIPTION:

In a domestic kitchen, Josh sits with the case worker at a round table near a fridge. A small sink is positioned near a window that has a spiky plant positioned on the sill.

Three speech bubbles appear above the case worker. The lefthand one has a red stick figure pointing at a board that reads ‘abc’ on it, while a green stick figure sits in a chair. The middle speech bubble has a stylised document that reads ‘Resume’ on it in grey text. The righthand speech bubble has a newspaper that has ‘Job Vacancies’ written at the top – a red circle outlines one of the ads below.

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

If you are unable to return to your job, the case manager can discuss with you other return-to-work, support and services you can access.

DESCRIPTION:

Josh sits at a computer on a desk near a large glass window. The Trainer from earlier stands alongside the desk. The Trainer has curly red hair and wears glasses and a white t-shirt and green trousers.

Later, the Physio and the GP appear to right of them and the Case Worker returns on the left.

FEMALE VOICEOVER:

This might include retraining for a new job with the same or a different employer, or any additional help you may need to successfully return to the workforce.

For more information, speak with your case manager or contact ReturntoWorkSA.
