Non-medical
The Return to Work scheme provides workers with non-serious injuries with reasonable and necessary treatment, care and support for up to three years. Workers with serious injuries will receive lifetime treatment and care.
Aquatic or gymnasium facilities
We will cover gym or pool fees associated with a worker's treatment plan where it is reasonable and necessary for the recovery and return to work plan. This is a time-limited service and can only be delivered by gym and pool facilities that are approved for public use by the relevant South Australian Local Government.
Remedial massage
We will also cover remedial massage services associated with a worker's treatment plan where it is necessary for the recovery and return to work plan. This is a time-limited service and can only be provided by remedial massage providers who hold a Diploma in Remedial Massage from a recognised training organisation.
Qualifications higher than a Diploma in Remedial Massage such as Bachelor of Applied Science, Human Movement, or Exercise Physiology are appropriate if a rehabilitation topic has been completed within the qualification.
Confirmation of appropriate qualifications can be demonstrated by providing a training certificate or registration/membership with an accrediting body or association.
