Reminder: do not advise outcome of assessment
We occasionally receive complaints from workers who have been given an indication of what the assessor thinks the %WPI will be, when the final result has differed from what they have been told.
There are a number of factors that can affect the worker’s final %WPI, such as calculation errors, multiple claim dates, the way impairments are combined or incorrect deductions and it is important that they are not given potentially incorrect information.
Workers are naturally upset when their expectations are raised and not met, and comments regarding potential entitlements may result in unnecessary dispute. Your observance of this requirement is very much appreciated.
